  Very clean .... they just opened few months ago. Internet connect free - for a 3 star hotel: a nice room, very clean, good breakfast and very friendly staff. The breakfast has not the variety of a 4 star hotel but this was not a problem for me.

  This was my second stay to race my fourth ITU/Powerman World Duathlon Championship. Last time the airlines lost my luggage for 5 days. This time my back pack was stolen outside Barcelona station en route to Zofingen. All hotels in Basel were booked solid so we scouted for somewhere in the region. In the event Hotel Engel was the perfect choice: only forty minutes from the fair; clean; quiet; big rooms; excellent breakfast; and, as a bonus, in the heart of a lovely little preserved medieaval town.
