  Good location family run guest house. If you do not want to hear street noises ask for a room at the back. I would not recommend that you take the breakfast as it is not in the same block, it does not open till 10 or 10.30am and it is not worth the value for the money you pay - Euro 4.for a coffee and a toast.   The location of the hotel - I was travelling with a suitcase and the hotel is literally just around the corner from a metro stop. The staff were very helpful - very centrally located for main attractions. - Amazing location, friendly staff who provided any assistance required regarding directions etc. Basic but comfortable room.

On the oposit side is a supermarket on the underground level from a shopping mall (you can find here glutenfree products too) and nearby a lot of little restaurants.   I liked that this hostel is located straight in the very heart of Madrid, it is not very expensive, the scinery out of the window is very beautifull on the buildings of the city, personally I like it. The rooms are cleaned every day, the stuff is very friendly .There is a central heating and it was warm in february. You can buy water inside.   I would highly recommend Hostal Sonsoles. We had a double room with two single beds. The room size was decent (I've stayed in smaller ones in New York), and the bathroom was large (with good water pressure too). The building has a lift (elevator), although I found myself just using the stairs to get to the hostal. Room was equipped with a safe and hair dryer, toiletries and towels replenished every day. The staff were lovely, the location was very central and near lots of good bars, restaurants and clubs. Great value, will definitely stay here again.

The only problem is the fact the there is no elevator access to the 4th floor (even though the rooms in such floor are the newest and, consequently, the best ones). Anyway, ou just have to climb the stairs from 3rd to 4th floor: no big deal. The breakfast was definitely acceptable (filling anyway) and included in the rate: 180€ per a double-bed room per two nights, in the heart of Madrid! Cool!!
