  A nice, very clean and cosy hotel with a perfect location close to the heart of Madrid. Also, the subway station is just nearby, i.e. within 3 min. walk down the same street. Very efficient heating system. Excellent receptionist's, room and breakfast service. Rich buffet breakfast with all sorts of food to satisfy any choice.   We stayed for 2 nights on our arrival to Madrid (into Atocha Station, which is about a 10 minute walk straight down Calle Atocha); the young, ultra-helpful staff was a pleasure to deal with - they are sharp people and we found no shortage of good English among them.   This was a genuine 4 star hotel at a 2 star rate - Excellent! Whilst not in the centre of town, it is near huge park areas which are really nice - It was close to the metro, the train station and the main attractions. We were able to walk to the main attractions.
