Staff eager to help us as we arrived early were leaving late and had to leave luggage at hotel. We were upgraded to double rooms with views of Table Top. A cheap taxi ride or walk from all the major city sites. Excellent breakfast included. Rooms spacious with all facilities. Compared with our hotel in Rio on the same trip and for the same price Townhouse was streets ahead. Can't wait to go back to Cape Town and when I do there's only one place I'll be staying - The Townhouse.

Apartment hotel room was large and fully equipped for extended stays and had an excellent location close to eateries and clubs and added plus a great view of Table Mountain. - Great Location. Amazing Service. Parking a bit expensive, but you can park outside for cheaper. Even overnight!!

We have never seen a hotel like this, everything was really wonderful. Upon our arrival we were even upgraded (for no additional costs!!) to a Luxury Suite. The willingness of the staff to find solutions to problems. Our reservation had somehow not come through correctly via letsbookhotel.com and they did not have any rooms left. The offered us a room at another hotel, and eventually they arranged that we could stay in the original hotel but in a larger room than booked.

after mentioning it to Nobu at reception she went out of her way to

The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly, the hotel is almost a B&B but with private facilities, easy to walk to most in town attractions, excellent breakfast very good and convenient before the start to the day, good connection to WIFI. The Hippo is well-designed, clean, and in a great location. The room was super modern and cute! We loved having a nice little kitchenette (complete with a french press coffee maker). The rain shower and heated floors in the bathroom were nice as well.

Great location, great staff. This hotel is owner operated and family run. After one day, we felt like we were part of the owners family. Best concierge services I have ever experienced. The owner, Ursula, made reservations, oredered taxis, arranged tours and looked after us. The room was spacious and felt like an apartment. I could not recommend this place more highly
