  This was a great hotel, reminded me of a quality American hotel with large rooms, restaurants, and fitness facilities. The location was perfect for sightseeing in Bergen. We arrived at the train station after our Norway in a Nutshell tour and walked approx. 10 minutes to the hotel. The rooms we booked - two standard rooms - were sufficiently spacious, definitely clean and comfortable, though not very bright.

We had asked for quiet rooms so when we arrived around 2 pm, we were asked if we could wait 1-hour for the requested rooms. A large first floor room stays open all day with complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit and a limited menu. Breakfast is fabulous. Whimsical light fixtures in the rooms add a nice touch. A close walk to the center of town. Across the street from the train station and several blocks from the bus station.

I also had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the park which was exceptionally quiet despite reading reviews about noise.
