  As soon as I stepped into the Hotel I was amazed by the decor and traditional interior design. A staff member said I couldn't check in before 3pm (it was 12.30pm) but he said I could leave my bag there. So I left the building and went for my excursion to the Shirakawa-Go Unesco Village and came back around 7pm and he kindly checked me in. Awesome ... что говорят » stay. The private onsen was incredible and clean. WOW I will be back - I really like the onsen in Takayama Ouan. They have 3 private onsen to choose. So if you don't want to go to public onsen they've other option. The breakfast is great and a lot of choices. My family really enjoyed the breakfast. Location is good also close to the train station. You can just walked for 5 minutes to the hotel from the station.

  Very caring, friendly and helpful staff. Onsen was great and ryokan is peaceful and relaxing. Great stay! Breakfast was fantastic and traditional. - The family owners were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them A lovely introduction to staying in a Japanese inn.

  Great location- only a short walk to the old town and morning markets. Plenty of great places to eat in the surrounding streets. The onsen on site was a real treat! And it was nice to use their sister hotel's onsens which are walking distance from the ryokan. We loved the service. We were served green tea and local Hida beef jerky on arrival.   Our room was upgraded to a spacious semi-suite, with a full sofa set and two semi-double beds. That's a big plus. The room was not brand new, but it was nice and super clean. The hotel staff even took us to the room after check-in and explained to us the onsen pools available at the hotel.   We really liked the views from the hotel of the mountains and over the town of Takayama. The staff was very friendly and their English was good enough. The hotel is huge and though it might seem old, it still preserves the style and grace from back in the day when it was built. The onsen was great, with a bath inside and outside, separated for men... что говорят » and women with the possibility of renting a private one. The free shuttle bus in the morning was very convenient. The breakfast was abundant, however - Excellent hotel. We had a wonderful stay: beautiful public bath, spacious tradicional rooms with amazing view of the city. Extremely helpful staff although do not speak a lot of English. Breakfast was included and if was delicious!! As it is quite far away from the station they offer a shuttle free bus to the station at mornings. They even gave us a traditional tissue as a gift!!
