  The staff was very nice and kind, but I'm not the kind of costumer that makes requests. The reception were very sofisticated with a very nice design. The room had a great space and the design was lovely too. The kitchenette was really helpful! It has everything you need if you want to prepare your food in your room. They gave us two kind of pillows, one har - Stayed 11 nights in this wonderful city and had read about Citadines Karasuma,indeed,it´s as most people say. Very comfortable and super clean hotel. In one of the most busy avenues of Kyoto but when inside what you really hear is just a slight traffic rumour. The room maids where very good, altough I usually left the towels and kimono hanging they nonetheless changed everyday. The fully equiped kitchenette is a plus for a snack or light meal if you´re to tired to go out. Just outside you have

  Staff were lovely and friendly, room was clean and mattress futons were comfy. Excellent location near Kyoto station for access to everywhere. - the beds on tatami are nice, the shared bathroom has a big bathtub, so nice to soak in cold weather

  This hotel is a ryokan, or traditional Japanese style inn with tatami floors and futon beds. The location is ideal and very lovely, in the middle of the Gion district, with easy access to many key sites, as well as restaurants and shopping. This excellent ryokan is run by a Japanese family, who are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. - The location is superb for a taste of real Kyoto. Beautiful streets full of temples around. We were in a two-room (suite) japanese room with bathrooom during Gion Matsuri so that price was high but reasonable. This is a family Ryokan and hence lacks services. The dedication and desire to please of the family that runs the hotel highly compensates. I would certainly like to return.
