  Staff were friendly and we tried to tip the valet, but she refused our money and later we were advised by Japanese friends that this is customary as hotel already charges tax. It was very honest of her.   The hotel was excellent value for money and the buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, with more space than expected. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful. The hotel also runs a frequent shuttle bus too and from the JR Kyoto train station which is very convenient. - Staff are ver... что говорят » y polite and efficient. The Concierge was very helpful. There are not a lot of places to visit near to the hotel, but it is only a short walk to the stop for the bus to Gion. The hotel shuttle bus is great for getting to the station, from where you can get transport around the whole city.

  We had a very japanise style room. Very luxurious with privated garden. The bathroom was a dream. May be the best I´ve ever been. I can highly recommend it if you want a relaxing and typical japanise experience. A true ryokan.
