  Everything! Nicola was an exceptionally friendly host, and his family were wonderful even though their English was not as good as his. The castello and grounds were beautiful and the views from the tower room were literally breathtaking. This was probably the single best stay my wife and I have had in our lives. The small washing machine in our unit is a great feature for travel - The B&B Duomo is perhaps the best place that I have ever stayed in Siena - pure magic. The staff and support you receive (including help with parking your vehicle in the medieval city of Siena) was a godsend. We had the apartment with the twin beds with full use of the courtyard, Apt 3 across from their reception area. Perfect accommodations, clean, quiet, and reasonable.   The apartment that we had had two double rooms, a shared bathroom (with shower rather than bath) and a well fitted kitchen/diner. The diner had a gas hob, oven, fridge/freezer and a washing machine - all of high quality. We were welcomed by Roberta, a colleague to Ennio, who was SO nice and wonderful. She had stayed up way after midnight to let us in, and she was so kind a funny to talk to. The steps up to the place is of course hard, but what do you expect when renting a place on 4th floor – just enjoy the old building!   Dennis was at all times very concerned that all was well and that we were happy. He was a mine of information about Siena and surrounds and it was as good as having our own information centre.
