We arrived by car so we were looking for somthing close to the city, butnot in it. The hotel was very convenient to the highway, but stillquiet, and did not charge for parking. Originally booked the mobile home units which did not suit our needs at all so we upgraded to a cabin which was perfect. The lady at the office was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We loved this hotel. It was excellent value for money. The room was spacious, the bathroom was big and clean and we had a balcony with a great view. The centre is a 20 minute walk away, but the walk down the river (past a number of good cafe's etc) is worth the effort. It is so quiet at night and cooler than Florence. Dinner on the terrazza overlooking Florence. The antique everything. What better than a stay in a Medici Villa for a visit to Florence! You can buy bus tickets right there and hike up to the road to catch a bus. Nice 20 min walk to Fiesole, or you can take the bus. Coffee on the Terrazza next to the Aurora Hotel in Fiesole is great too. There is no A/C but the large ceiling fan was sufficient. No TV, but who has time to watch tv with all the stu
