We were very impressed by La Girandola. It is only 3 or 4 minutes from the Fiumicino Airport platform at Roma Termini, which is so convenient. The Hotel is outstandingly clean and nicely decorated. Very friendly owner who made us a coffee when we arrived and showed us the main attractions on the map.
Owner spoke only a little English but we muddled through and was part of the experience.

Excellent double glazed windows meant it was quiet at night even in a busy and noisy area.

We used this hotel for a two day city break prior to a Med cruise from Civitavecchia. The hotel is brilliantly located as it is 2 mins walk from Termini Station where the airport express train terminates and also trains run regularly from Termini to the port. Seeing the hotel from outside might be a bit shocking but u can easily get used to it.
The manager of the hotel came down personally to great us. He showed us around the room and gave us a local map explaining the whereabouts.

Everything. Great location right behind the Pantheon. The apartment was only a short walk from most tourist attractions, and very safe to walk to/ around late into the night. За такие деньги в Москве, возможно, Вам бы предложили картонную коробку возле метро Кузнецкий Мост. А тут все работает, хотя, как и все в Италии, давно, очень давно требует ремонта, хотя бы и косметического. Дом винтажный, со стилем, почти ровесник Колизея. Это плюс. Локэйшн тоже плюс. Очень хорошее расположение отеля - самый ценрт, близко хорошие магазины, НО в номере было ОЧЕНЬ холодно. батарее включали только ночью, и то они были еле теплые. ночью еще куда ни шло по температуре в номере, а днем ОЧЕНь холодно. как пример - руки настолько замерзли, что не реагировали на сенсорный экран айфона (он работает от пальцев теплых рук).
