  Breakfast buffet was excellent; I wish we had booked a reservation for dinner at the restaurant, but we were so anxious to see the city we did not. The room was lovely (we stayed in #107) but I saw #105 and it was even more lovely. Quiet, so you can sleep late and the bed was extremely comfortable. Very friendly helpful staff made our stay very enjoyable. This villa is a winery and the wine tour and tasting is excellent and half price if you are staying at the Villa. Very happy we stayed outside of Siena as it was very hot in the city, but cool at the Villa. Great views over Siena at night. Highly recommended.

  we had a 3 bed room which was very big for Florence and nicely decorated, big bathroom too. the administrator friendly, he recommended a very nice restaurant( expensive but worth the money) . - decoration is very nice. personal is very friendly and intimate. room is comfortable, bathroom is also big.

The brilliant hotell in the brilliant town. - A beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Five minutes walk to all the main sites. Easy to find (although it is on the fourth storey above the shops). Heating could have been turned up a degree! Otherwise perfect. - Everything. As an international lawyer I travel extensively to a numberof international destinations. My wife and I agree that this was one ofour finest hotel stays in 40 years of travelling. The facility isabsolutely outstanding and the staff, and especially Gino, made us feelas though we were family. We have recommended it already to a number offamily and friends. Great experience!

  The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located about 10 -12 min walk from Florence SMN train station. The hotel is on the third floor of the building without elevator, but the owner has helped with our luggage, so it was not an issue at all. Very clean and quiet. The breakfast room has an astonishing view of Florence roof - The Locanda dei Guelfi proved to be a good choice for us and we enjoyed our stay there. You never know quite what to expect even if you have read the reviews before you go. We had no difficulty in finding the hotel and the steps up to the third floor were not an issue for us although I can see that it might be a problem for some. The location is excellent although the area is quite busy but this was not a problem for us. The room and facilities were very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The pool was exquisite and overlooked a beautiful valley with birds circling below and horses grazing.
