The lounge was a wonderful place to watch the sun set over the ocean... although drinks buffet a bit pricey (good food though).   Blu is situated about 1km from the port of Vulcano. The staff speak English and they were only to happy to send the shuttle bus to collect us and our luggage. The Hotel is actually a large collection of spacious, full equipped apartments, ie cooker, utensils etc. The bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the apartment. Here you will find seati - The pool area was great with a stunning view over the bay. The snack bar served excellent salads and paninis for lunch. The accommodation was spartan but clean and comfortable and well-designed so that you stay cool even at the hottest part of the day. The staff were very helpful and considerate and the shuttle bus down to the town is a great benefit. Ring or e-mail ahead and they will pick you up from the ferry when you arrive.

  We were very impressed by the way staff arranged all transfers particularly because we did not speak Italian. The desk staff were wonderful. Such a relief to be able to communicate in English. Loved the place. - Great staff, beautiful grounds.

  Brilliant location with good facilities. Our visit was at end of season so was quieter which suited. This is an idyllic place for a few days stay.   The island had been closed for any boats because of weather, so the owner contacted us and proposed to change for the next day. However, it was in November - low season. The rooms with sea view are great (because of the sea view). There is also terrace with swings and chairs. Rooms are big, with small kitchen and old styled furniture. Very cosy. Staff able to book trek to crater for guests, breakfast served at nearby bar with good choice of items. Main reason for visit was the crater trek, but found that there is so much more to do on the island.

  Best breakfast in italy, the staff is very friendly, it is nice and quiet and Lipari is Beautiful. This was our second stay and we would not hesitate to stay there again. - Excellent service, good breakfast and nice room even. Rooms are big enough even for a family.

  This place is AMAZING! Private, exclusive, comfortable, stylish and luxurious. Away (only minutes) from crowded and touristy Lipari ,great romantic escape. Highly recommended! - Beautifully decorated rooms. Very helpful owner and staff. Ordered food in for us which was very helpful for the children. Good wine!
