All of the reception personnel were extremely gracious and helpful. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. They answered questions, confirmed tours, made phone calls to check on things in other towns, made great suggestions about places to eat and buy things, and gave directions to get around. 12. We needed affordable lodging near shopping and public
transportation. Downtown Reykjavik Apartments (dra) met and exceeded our
requirements. The dra is just 2 blocks from one of the main bus stations
in Reykjavik. From that point, one can travel anywhere in the City.

We booked the smallest and cheapest available room (the double studio). When we arrived, finding our keys and room was very easy.
The room was small but very clean - the bedding smelt very fresh. We also saw a family studio which was bigger and again very clean and pleasant.
I asked to upgrade our room as I wanted a bit more space (the prices are very reasonable and I was happy to pay more). However when the owner and Thora heard it was the last leg of our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a 3 bed

A bit unusual that there was no reception in this hotel but everything was organized perfectly- keys were left for collection per instructions by e-mail sent previously and it was possible to contact the staff over the phone when we needed anything. - The place is just great!
