  The owner was a great host - very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the food in the restaurant downstairs was really delicious. Stavrodromi Hotel is very close to the port and all night bars.   The location is perfect - right across the road from the new port with easy as pie access to the ferry to Corfu or Venice. The foyer is very luxurious, white leather lounges, mirrors, chandeliers, marble-looking tiles. The room was very comfortable, air conditioned. We needed to leave the hotel before breakfast was due to be served but the night recep - As soon as we arrived the receptionist had a great smile and welcomed us. We were just staying 1 night as we were getting the ferry to Venice. Great location, over the road from the port & close to town. We had room 203 which was big & on the front with a balcony overlooking the port. The room had a large fridge, which was handy. Good shower room, not huge but fine. Air con. The hotel is being decorated inside but caused no inconvenience to us. They very kindly gave us a very nice break
