  Absolutely excellent hotel, which is definitely on 5 stars level, helpful staff, ideally clean and nice designed rooms. Generally, the hotel was much better than expected to be. If I'll be again in Berlin, I'd stay there again and highly recommend this hotel for others. The only weak point is the "arty-farty" restaurant with very short menu and ... что говорят » the food is not specially tasty and definitely overpriced. But this is not big problem, because there are a lot of excellent restaurants for any taste - Excellent location, <5 min walk to Gendarmenmarkt and 5min walk to German Dome. Closest metro stop is Hausvoigtel which is on a great line and can take you (without changing lines) to the Zoo or Ku-damm (shopping area). Wifi is free, stable, and reasonably fast. Hotel rooms are very well appointed and smart. Some great dining options closeby like Chipps for breakfast. All in all would stay again - really a nice hotel.

  Great location, very nice and modern design of the hotel. Everything we needed was in our room, incl. set for tea/coffee preperation - which is very important for us. Room was very silent. We didn't hear any noises from the outside or from other rooms/corridors. Super comfortable, large bed. The difficulty was by car locating the hotel and how to drive there. The entrance is not on a main road but on a tiny 1-way street that runs between 2 main roads. A friend who grew up in Berlin was driving me and we circled a few times before spotting the entrance to the hotel. I'm sure a taxi driver would have no trouble locating it. Lots of shops nearby as well as a train station.

  We had a problem with our room (it was smelling smoke) and people from reception had a quick and nice reaction, they changed our room, thing that we appreciate a lot. Breakfast is quite good with a german touch (muesli, german delicatessen and german cheeses, german bread). This is a really confortable hotel (beds and comforters...). The hotel was situated within walking distance of Museum Island and the Nikolaiviertel so sightseeing was easy. Having a subway station across the street gave us convenient access to the rest of Berlin.
