We chose this hotel both for location and price for a long, Xmas market weekend. On arrival, we were informed that our room rate (c€75/night) was inclusive of breakfast, soft drinks and hot drinks, which was a real bonus. Breakfast selection is fabulous, ranging from the usual cold buffet, cereals etc but also omelets made to order, bacon, sausages etc. Location is ideal for sightseeing by foot - Gestapo HQ, Berlin Wall etc only 10 minutes away, but of course you can also hop on/hop off the sig

Superbly efficient, rapid and courteous check in despite many guests ariving at same time. Many De Luxe hotels could learn from Mercure's staff and their work systems. There is a shopping centre 20 meters from the front door that has 2 supermarkets in the basement. There must be at least 30 restuarants witin walking distance as well as the sony centre. Walking distance to many sites and conveniently near shopping mall with supermarkets, take out food but also many restaurants. Comments of earlier guests mentioned expensive parking. However it only costs 5 Euro per day as the information from the hotel states, you just need to arrange it with the owner.

Very good located in "Kreuzberg" with lots of nice bars and restaurants next door. Perfect as a starting point for a city trip. New and modern rooms and bathroom with all you need. Big flat Screen. Free Wifi. Very good breakfast with Mediterranean touch. Subway Station "Görlitzer Tor" in 100 m. -

We had a problem with our room (it was smelling smoke) and people from
reception had a quick and nice reaction, they changed our room, thing
that we appreciate a lot. Breakfast is quite good with a german touch
(muesli, german delicatessen and german cheeses, german bread).

The staff was very helpful in providing excellent restaurant recommendations within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel was situated within walking distance of Museum Island and the Nikolaiviertel so sightseeing was easy. Having a subway station across the street gave us convenient access to the rest of Berlin.
