  Absolutely the place to stay in Bayeux. We were upgrade to a suite which was beautiful, but noticed that the standard rooms well equally as lovely. Breakfast was excellent and reasonable...particularly when compared to hotels in Paris. Hotel was very quaint, clean and comfortable. We highly recommend the Villa Lara.

It's a country manor house that has been beautifully decorated in a period fashion with sumptuous wall paper, drapes, antiques and fascinating paintings, sculpture and objets d'art.
