  It turns out the General Hotel was overbooked, so they rebooked me into another hotel, member of the same chain, Le Quartier Bastille. The room was (for Paris and this price point) spacious and clean, the amenities fine. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Overall my experience was very good. - Very good location. Friendly reception, multi-lingual also dutch. - The ease of getting around paris from the hotel. The metro is right out side the hotel front doors and on a main line direct into Paris centre.

  The hotel was clean, modern and all features were new and up to date. The staff was friendly, helpful and fluent in both French and English.   The location is more than ok since it is found not far from a metro station. It is definately clean. Breakfast is excellent in terms of quality. It certainly consists of an adequate variety and i can not see why should someone complain about it.
