  Very helpful reception staff who spoke English and appreciated my attempts to speak in French. Comfortable room. Good simple breakfast. You can park by the hotel to unload and then drive a short distance to the public car park near the Gendarmerie. For ten Euros returnable deposit you can borrow a free parking card. Also, the late check-in process was simple - the hotel provided us with a code to get in and the keys were waiting for us just inside.

  The Abre Vert was authentic and although in an older traditional property the renovations had been completed to a very high standard. The restaurant had a wonderful ambience and the food was superb. Clean, well decorated, modern and tasteful in the room, but the hotel is an old abby. Best to stay here and eat at Swendi as the abby doesnt offer evening meals unfortunately. Recently renovated; with taste, respecting the character and charm of the old house; but not compromising on modern amenities (bathroom, heating / air-con, wireless).
