  This is our second stay. We appreciate the excellent, helpful staff. The ambience is very special. One enjoys views of the beautiful little bay and town. The pebbly beach below the hotel is nearly private and there is a small hotel pool located out-of-doors.   This is a hotel with some history. We particularly liked it's location right in the old town by the quayside. We also liked it's historical artistic connections & the huge number of original paintings sculptures and artworks on display on all floors of the hotel including the bar. The staff, both reception, bar & restaurant were friendly & helpful. - Character filled hotel with walls lined with paintings. The room we had wasn't large but had charm. Thoroughly enjoyed our three nights in the hotel. Great rooftop views from the top floor. Fabulous location. For free car parking go to the street in front of the railway station. It's a longish drag with the suitcases but a safe place to leave the vehicle.
