  Stayed overnight en route from the Dordogne back to the UK. The Chateau is only a few kilometres off the motorway - yet is delightfully quiet.   This hotel was very different to most we have stayed at. It was uniquely special. We were effectively welcomed into the owners' home (which is a very grand castle) and treated as a member of their family for the duration of our stay. This is no Hilton but as a stopover en-route down south it was an excellent choice for location and great value for money. Very good typical French breakfast with great coffee.   The check in was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful (and patient) when dealing with a very sleep deprived customer! The rooms are not massive but everything one wanted was there and the shower head can be adjusted so if you are very tall like me you can set it high enough to not have to stoop over while showering.
