Really like the place, real Beijing feel. -
By its very nature I was immersed in the Hutong and saw how those people live on a daily basis.
For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Tienanmen Square, in a very colourful area with plenty of restaurants and shops.
The room was simple but clean, the towels were changed every day.
The hotel has also a very cosy bar/restaurant area, mainly used for breakfast, and one or two computers are available if you need to use the internet.
Most of the staff speak English and they are happy to give you advice on the best ways to get to places.

Beijing is the cleanest city I've ever been to (and I had my share oftravels), and this hotel just tops it all. You can lick everything thereif you want, even the ashtrays. Best location in Beijing. THe hotel is close to Wangfujing and Tiananmen East subway stops. Hotel is within walking distance to Wangfujing, food market, forbidden city, national museum, tiananmen square. A few stops from the lama temple and temple of heaven. Wifi in the room and lobby, excellent connection. Room service, food was OK but sufficient.

We thought the staff, Xiao wei and Gu jie, were excellent. They were tremendously helpful to us and very friendly and caring.
It was very close to the main attractions of Beijing but in a very quiet area. We felt very safe.

The staff do their best to make you feel good. They are always smiling and they spare no effort to serve well. Most of them we meet speak English and those who don't will try their best. The rooms were amazing spacious and with a very tasteful decoration. The charges were fare.

It's clean, the room is spacious, the staff are helpful (although they had a hard time speaking in English which seems to be the norm in Beijing).
The location (depending on your fitness, it's around 20-30 mins walk to Forbidden City and about 5-10 mins walk to Qianmen St. Market and I guess, 10-20 mins to the Temple of Heaven)
