  The staff were consistently helpful and friendly; I arrived very early in the morning but they allowed me to change to a different kind of room so I could check in early, and to have breakfast at the impressive buffet. Many of them speak English, some very well. Should I go back to Kunming I'll have no hesitation staying there again. - We booked standard room with breakfast at the hotel. But on arrival got also complimentary coupons for lunches and dinners daily, and instead of standard room - wonderful suite. Daily we had new fruit basket in room. It is always possible to find at least one person at the reception, who speaks English (English in Kunming is not common). Personal is friendly and cooperative.
