  I really enjoyed the hotel, the staff was very helpful. My family does not speak portuguese (I do it), so the staff spoke in spanish with them. We came early the day of the check-in, however since the bedroom was without people, they let us do the check in before the hour. In our last days the staff also helped us to book a tour to Ilha Grande, an... что говорят » d also the cab to the airport in our final day (we leave the hotel close to 3 am). Some people say that the room was small but we stayed at the 3 peop - The rooms are newly renovated and very clean. The room we had was just the right size for 2 people and bathroom is in excellent condition. Despite speaking limited English, staff are helpful. Around the corner is a burger place and across the road is a juice place and also, a really nice sandwich bar and restaurant. About 10 minutes walk to Copacabana beach.

  This hotel has a very good location (quiet, safe, close to Flamengo Park and Beach). Very kind and helpfull staff (we asked in spanisch, they answered in portuguese or english - was a nice mixture), but we got all information we needed.   Ok, this is not a five-star hotel, but they don't charge a five-star price either. My opinion is, you get exactly what you pay for. It's in Lapa, this means it probably used to be in a slum.   Hotel is in Lapa, a few hundred meters from the famous arches. Transport connections are very good - there are several buslines that run past the hotel and allow access to most parts of Rio easily. Breakfast was fine. AC worked, which is somewhat important when it's +37C outside
