  We loved the staff at the Ipanema Inn. Everyone there spoke English and were extremely helpful in finding excursions, transportation, food etc.. We had a large group of 6 (2 seniors and 2 children under 9) which made for some difficult logistics when traveling and the staff here made everything easy. This is a great place to stay and will do it again. - The hotel has been refurbished, is clean, comfortable and the staff and breakfast are great. It is close to shopping, restaurants and close to the beach. Most of the staff speak English. We had a spacious family suite with a terrace and beach view. Also, the a/c unit was quiet and the shower was good too. - Hotel staff very attentative and helpful. Probably the best value for money in the area. Breakfast simple but sufficient. Same as the rooms. Although I stayed in a room with street view, there is no noise. Definitely a good option for those who want good location and good service without being ripped off.

  The hotel is one of only two hotels in Rio de Janeiro, that have direct access to the beach (without having to cross busy road). The location is great providing easy access to both Copacabana & Ipanema beaches. Perfect for families. The breakfast was very good with choice of fresh juice, fresh fruits etc (plus with option to sit outside). We went for the pricier rooms that overlook Ipanema beach and I'd say they were well worth it. Stunning views of the beach/bay plus dramatic sunsets. The hotel is small and calm-feeling. Having breakfast (really delicious) out on the terrace by the beach, watching the morning surf/beach exercise crowd, was a great start to the day. All you hear at night are the breaking waves - quite a feat for being in a city of 9 million people. Friendly and professional staff too,
