Scandic Grand Place Brussels was built behind the historic facades of two listed houses in 1993. The hotel offers a number of facilities, including 100 air-conditioned rooms, the Eken Bar and Brasserie, six meeting rooms and two Finnish saunas. Central Station is only 200 metres away and offers a direct train connection to Brussels Airport (just 13 km from the hotel) in 20 minutes. The Midi Station is 2 km away and offers international connections with Eurostar and Thalys.

Modern rooms and decor. Everything was very clean, and suprisingly eco-friendly. Lovely breakfast. The reception staff were extremely helpful. I enjoyed my stay and will easily go back there. Perfectly situated close to both the central station and city center. The room was quiet and the breakfast very good.Very happy with the hotel, great location right beside the gallaries. Staff very helpfull and rooms clean.

Everything was good especially the Sauna facility. comfort, cleanliness of hotels room. The hotel is lovely and very corporate looking. It's less than 5 mins walk from the central station and 5 mins from Grand Place. We didn't need to use the metro all weekend which was perfect. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast is AMAZING (the only thing missing was waffles but we ate enough of those during the day...). We also ate in the restaurant and had a really excellent meal.The location was very central and there was plenty of choice in the breakfast buffet. free internet, free bikes, breakfast. location,comfort. hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and dinner at the hotel's restaurant was excellent. very friendly professional staff, Central Location. Not much of a view (windows heading into the hotel). There were problems with the keys and the toilet - both resolved speedily and professionally by the staff. The rooms are indeeed small, as has often been commented upon; but they are well organised and not uncomfortable. We got the room with no view (it faced a wall). But if you've beenstrolling the beautiful city for the whole day, may be you won'tdesperately need some more.Avoid the scrambled eggs at breakfast they are disgusting and watery - must have come out of a packet. Bar not open for a late drink before retiring. Small room with no view. Reservation was necessary for sauna. Breakfast time for weekends and weekdays are different and as we were not informed that, we missed the breakfast buffet. But the staff provided us some food.Will be nice to have internet in a room not only i9n public areas. Upon arrival I was given a non-smoking room, nicely equipped with bath robe and tea making set, but after pointing out that my reservation was for a smoking room was shown to a room without these 'extras'. There seems to be a disconnect between your reservation system and the Scandic one as they hadn't registered my initial requirements.They dont replace the good food at breakfast time.. I stayed at the hotel 8 years ago and had a better experience at that time when the hotel was new - but it is still very ok!. The room was small, not enough wardrobe space. Room not so nice or new, the way to go in front of the hotel....old furniture. There was no heating in the room, had to use A/C. The phone of the room was not operating - not possible to receive or make phone calls. As the hotel was fully booked the personnel were overwhelmed and unable to deal with the problem. the internet just works in the hall and community areas. It could works in the rooms. It will be better.one morning a cleaning lady would knock on my door at 8:30 -in addition it was the day when I was due to check out. So once I was to leave before 12 it would have been so simple for the cleaning lady to ask the reception whether I was still in or not! Then my room had a window facing an interior courtyard and since this yard is roofed I could never tell the weather of the day -very frustrating!. Our room was very small and dark as it faced into the inner courtyard. wifi was not working properly. Small room. No outside window. You don't know weather outside. I had booked a special summer rate and my booking said that I would havea double room, but I got a single bed. This didn't really bother me, butthis problem may have an effect on others. Also, the air conditioningwas quite noisy in my room, even when it was turned off! Some of thestaff at breakfast were quite abrupt compared to the evening waiters,but perhaps this was a language barrier.Size of room and lack of outlook would have made it unsuitable for other than a very brief stay. Other reviews had made this clear.
