Great place. If you're looking for somewhere to party & have a laugh then this is the place.
Stayed in a four bed room with an ensuite shower & toilet which were cleaned everyday.
Staff were friendly & helpful along with the tour desk.
The club though is brilliant!! Large & loud & does $10 meal/drink deal which was a life save

Stayed from 19.2.13 - 26.2.13 in room 417 and had an awesome stay. I went with 3 people from work in Brisbane as a get away. We hardly ended up leaving at all because everything was there. I'll be booking again soon. Very hard to fault! Thanks to all the Gilligan's team.

We found and booked this hostel through letsbookhotel.com for the first two nights, and decided that if it was not suitable we will change to another one. However, after arrival, we found it was really a lovely hotel. We lived in Room 71, and it was really nice one. Then we decided to continue to stay in this hotel for the rest of our journey in Cairns. Finally, we totally stayed seven nights there. -
Fantastic hostel, spotlessly clean, all staff incredibly friendly and full of great advice - also great pool, kitchen, free WiFi in reception (hard to find in Cairns) lovely spot at end of esplanade, pleasant 5-10 min walk along esplanade to city and free dinner at backpacker pub! I stayed in dorm and private and found both comfortable and good value - fridge in both room types a bonus. When my boyfriend found it hard to walk due to a foot injury the hostel even provided some crutches - what am

Absolutely amazing place to stay, with great staff and superb accommodation.
I arrived from my flight at about 5am, 9 hours before check in. This wasnt a problem, was shown straight to the guest lounge and was able to get some sleep and a shower and wait in comfort.

from which to choose.There are plenty of options for ordering meals but
they are brought in as I dont think there was a restaurant available to
guests. Buffet breakfast is available on site. Red rooster is nearby and
a shopping centre within close walking distance.Security staff

The staff were very accommodating and helpful, such a wonderful atmosphere,clean and tidy,gym facilities. 15 min drive from airport, 5 min drive to city. Shuttle bus to city excellent service. All round great place for your money and comfort and peaceful. -

Your staff,they are simply excellent. They are so very helpful, nothing is too much bother be it a simply enquiry or one that required some research and local information. Rooms are simply, clean & roomy, beds comfortable & everything in the room functioned. -

the air con on every room (very usefull in Cairns as the heat is very humid), great staff, free airport shuttle, bed confortable, and very cheap ! -
