  The young couple running this small motel were very friendly and they take good care of the place: rooms are very clean, comfortable and very practical since there's a small kitchen (most motels we've stayed at in Australia only had a small kitchenette area with a kettle and sometimes a microwave). Other than that, it is on the Great Ocean Road, so great location, beach, supermarket and restaurants are less than 2 min - We loved the convenience of the Beachfront Motel, not least because we knew that we would be arriving after it was dark. It is very well-designed with the units arranged at right angles to the main road and shielded from any traffic noise by the reception area and office. Each of the units is equipped with its own mini-kitchen and this makes it perfect for an extended stay on the coast.

  The owners of the hotel were very delightful and friendly to talk to. My partner and I booked the wrong room and they were happy to move us. They always were smiling and we brought our own pillows and when they made our bed the next day they uses our pillows instead of there'S. The rooms are very spacious and the owners made our trip that extra bit special so thank you for that. The next time we stay there - Thia was a friendly place in a very quiet residential location, close to, but not in the centre of the town. I had a lovely morning walk round watching birds such as galahs & honeyeaters. Some people might prefer to be on the sea front, But Appollo bay is a very small place, so it doesn;t make much difference, particularly if you have a car.

They had free private parking and it was only a few minutes walk to the main shops and restaurants.
