  The location is superb, particularly given that I was told not to walk even a block after 6pm on my own. Everything is within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large.   We stayed only two nights in Alice Springs and were very happy we had booked Alice Motor Inn. Gee, the manager was very helpful and friendly with good recommendations for dinner and places to shop. The motel is run by a family, and both Gee and Carmel are excellent hosts. We immediately felt welcomed and, judging for their attitude to us and what we observed in their interaction with other guests, nothing is too much trouble.   I likted that the rooms were easy to get to, the food was excellent, the mountains in the morning were cool to look at, I would have loved to enjoy the pool as the view was spectacular. The staff were helpful and friendly. The laundry was great but to accommodate so many visitors another washer and dryer would be helpful.
