The Clark Cottage is amazing ! Noreen and Deano were incredibly kind and helpful. We arrived by the Amtrak train in the early morning to find everything closed for the winter season. The book store owner at the station let me stash our luggage in his storeroom and promised to call the Belton Chalet when the office staff arrived. We went on a seven mile hike and Noreen called during our outing to say that our luggage had been picked up and the Clark Cottage was ready for us complete with the fir.

Recent renovations make it quite comfortable, with none of the musty feel of some of the other park lodges. Dinner at the Lodge restuarant was terrific, too. We stayed in Clark Cottage and loved it! The cottage was very clean, very comfortable and we loved the nostalgic feel. The staff at Belton Chalet were also very helpful and kind. We will definitely stay there again!. An old time hotel, with all its character. Good location for where we wanted to be. Easy to find. The Wi0Fi had a good signal, and was available in the room. The history and refurbishment of the building that used to be a dorm for the RR are wonderful! Everything was very comfortable, warm, and welcoming. Great location for Glacier National Park, great food at Resturant and bar. Super friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of room in Clark cabin. They did a great job with an old structure to modernize essentials, but keep ambience. The old Inn character was very special, very good staff. Would stay again. Proximity to park. Awesome lodge and restaurant. friendly staff and a great place to stay. Location and history of the place. Charming place. Nice staff. We got a very charming cottage with a huge porch to gaze at the mountains. We each got our own room. The restaurant had good food. Great food, excellent location near park entrance. The busy road right in front of the Hotel. The train does pass in front of the lodge, so if you are particularly sensitive to noise that could be an issue. And we did have a small plumbing oddity, where the cold water tap ran hot for a minute before becoming cold - probably have the pipes next to each other somewhere. No biggie. Rather pricey, but I understand that you don't have a lot of months in the year to have guests. The restaurant was just ok, rather than something special. Although people were reminded to close the doors to the rooms quietly, many seemed to ignore this, esp. after 11 pm. Noise from highway and trains but comes with the territory when choosing West Glacier for your stay. Would like to have stgayed longer. Restaurant only opens at 3 pm. For the price, I think there should have been breakfast included. Bed was not comfortable. It was so close to the highway and railroad that at times it was noisy. Third floor rooms in summer in an authentic inn without ac were tough to sleep in. Trains went by all night.
