  We were very pleased with our selection of hotel. When we arrived we had been upgraded from a Queen room to a Suite so were delighted. Having 2 bathrooms was a definite bonus. The suite was very clean. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Location was awesome. Right on Union Square and convenient to everything.   We booked the King Deluxe room. From letsbookhotel.com the value was awesome for San Fran. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and far uptodate than standard hotel rooms, iphone docking on the clock, widescreen tv, DirectTV... Yes I said DirectTV. And right in the middle from all the shops - This was my first stay at Abri, but it won't be my last. What a perfect oasis in the busy shopping area and so conveniently located to mass transit.   The staff was friendly and helpful. The room, while rather small, was clean and neat. The bathroom, while very small (I've had larger bathrooms on cruise ships), was also clean, neat and stocked with sufficient towels and basic amenities. Fortunately, the bed was very comfortable. The room was not air-conditioned, but the ceiling fan was sufficent to keep the room pleasant - First time in a 'Boutique Hotel' setting, was amazing, very charming, friendly, convenient to everything, trolley directly outside hotel....restaurants, cafes, shopping, all within walking distance, or hop on trolley. Was very quiet, slept wonderfully. Decor quaint & beautiful. Bed comfy, water pressure great. Bkft included was good & filling. Cannot say enough great things about this adorable hotel. We will definately be back!

  Firstly the location is great. You are right at the start of the cable car which you can take over to fisherman's wharf. Room had been updated sympathetically and although not large by US standards, you could definately swing a cat if that was your thing. Don't try and video skype later in the day though. - Such a great location and great welcome from staff - it is the little touches like happy hour free drink and light breakfasts for all guests that make this place so special . For a solo traveller the opportunity to say hi to other guests and have some company at the end of a business day makes me a repeat visitor from NZ
