  I love this little Inn. It is by far the least expensive place to stay in Chelsea/Flatiron. It is not fancy by any means but it is quiet and the location is great. It's half a block off 5th ave shopping, two blocks from Union square and 2 blocks from 8th Ave in Chelsea. The rooms have a refrigerator which was rare to find for the price. The continental breakfast next door has - The location and the courteous staff! Very comfortable and quiet and clean and you can get the sense of actually living there when you stay in this wonderful historic building. I will always book at the Chelsea Inn whenever I travel to NYC. The location is central to Union Square Station, and only one block over from 5th Avenue. From here, it's easy to get to anywhere in this beautiful City!

Great location and charming inn - more like staying in a home than a hotel, which is especially hard to come by in New York. We had large, comfortable room on the main floor. Friendly staff (and friendly cat!), cozy breakfast room. We liked the bar downstairs as well. We will definitely come back here another time.

  The hotel was perfectly located near to Union Square with a really nice staff, especially the blond georgian girl. For a 3stars hotel it was perfect: very clean, very cosy and comfortable. I loved the shower, it's the first time I'm happy with the bathroom although I'm traveling all the time and took some 5stars before. Actually, our room was too big since we only went there to sleep. - Staff was very, very friendly and helpful! We needed an iron which they organized within 5 minutes.   The staff was very friendly, the pictures of the hotel is real: "What you see is what you get" - The beds are comfortable, rooms has a good size for a hotel in Manhattan - Clean and nice! The bar is open til 02.00 and has a smoking area. There is free coffe in the lobby in the mornings, and fresh water and ice tea doing the day. A great, clean comfortable room and not far from the sights or subway. I would stay again.

Neighborhood is full of restaurants and shops, subway is a short block away, and there is a Citibike stand right outside the front door.

  Overall, a great hotel, well situated to catch all of NY. Pleasant and helpful staff. However, beware of paying for a high floor room, thinking you will get a view! One of our rooms had a view of the Empire State Building - great! But the other has a view of the wall of the building opposite! HOWEVER, beware of booking a high-floor room thinking this will give you a view. I booked two high-floor rooms. One had a lovely view over the skyline, while the other had a view of a brick wall! The hotel very kindly moved us up three floors, wher we got a view of........water tanks. So view not guaranteed! Supplement would be better reserved for those rooms with views. However, that did no
