Prior to our stay all our questions were answered fully by emails from the proprietors. When we arrived we were very impressed by the ambience and feel of the hotel. Our stay was enhanced by the friendly, helpful and efficient proprietors, the massive comfortable bed in a delightfully airy, clean room, not to mention the most marvellous breakfasts.

Flatscreen TV with freeview and dvd player (range of dvd's in th room). I was helped to find a restaurant in the evening. Breakfast was superb, in a beautiful morning room. It was a pleasant stay, starting with a warm welcome, a lot of useful ideas for activities, very clean rooms, famous garden, to stay for a drink; just perfect. Ferndale hotel is on its own nestled high up on a ledge surrounded by trees making it a very cosy romantic place to stay just what we wanted and the four poster room number 6 was clean and the bed was beautiful and comfortable.
