We were a family with a difference i.e. an 87 year old mum with two off her six children aged 64 and 53 ! The price allowed us to visit our older brother who is very unwell. The family that own the hotel made us feel so welcome and made us feel like we'd know them for years! The hotel was clean and well looked after and the hotel breakfast was lovely! Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. The breakfast selection was amongst the best I have ever had, can you believe they even make their own bread and yogurt! Both of which were simply delicious. Lovely hosts and staff made the stay at the hotel very enjoyable. Very good breakfast in the morning too.
Also, good size room for a solo traveller, double bed. A really pleasant stay and I am looking forward to staying there again.

I was really impressed with Hotel Gleneagles. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was upgraded to a very comfortable room with a balcony on arrival. I was travelling on my own and the hotel catered for all my needs. Evening meal was exceptional and breakfast was very good too. Will return next time I am in Torquay. - We had a fabulous

The decor of the hotel is stunning and makes you feel you'd rather stay in then venture out in Torquay! We will definitely be returning.
