We had a twin room with a massive bathroom, and heaters that made it cosy. The lounge is just great - a big kitchen to cook in or make pots of tea. In the morning we'd sit by the sliding doors looking out over stunning sea/mountains/sky. My teenager was glad for the free wifi, tho a bit slow it helped us finalize our hike route. the staff are lovely. The sheep next door wondered about with the dogs and behaved like pets. The kitchen facilities so we were able to prepare sandwiches for the day out and also meant we could keep eating costs down by preparing an evening meal. Good to meet interesting people from different countries in the communal lounge area. Comfortable lounge area, well stocked fridge for continental breakfast and good facilities for the use of everyone.
Perfect location on Isle of Mull, close to Tobermory and any wildlife activities on the isle.
The shared kitchen/living room is facing the sea, just a 5 minutes walk down a small path filled with black sheeps.
Self catering, also with tables/barbecue outside.
Simply great, looking forward to come back and spend more time there.

A good concept; we wish there were more places like this where one can relax in private, but be able to cook a meal if needed.
The room was comfortable. We booked too late for ensuite but shared facilities were adequate and never a queue. The kitchen/dining are was well stocked and there were more than adequate facilities for those who wanted self catering. Also dog friendly!.
Great value for money, no frills but enjoyed having use of kitchen, outlook was fantastic, nice chatting to other guests while in the kitchen\living area. Nice benches in garden area and loved seeing the sheep next door.
The place has a very nice feel to it, and the views are spectacular especially in good weather. It's a great place for families, and people who want to connect with the outdoors or have a quiet, relaxing time.
Good location for self catering , not so handy if you want to eat out
and have no transport, place to store bicycles although limited availability--
shed would be better. Clean /tidy/friendly.
Simple but comfortable hotel. Continental breakfast. Incredible views. You wake up and see the sheep grazing. Absolutely quiet. Tobermory is 10 minutes by car.

The views of the lake were nice. Arle had a nice communal area with a large TV and kitchen, plus access to fridge, range and dishes if you wanted to prepare your own meals.
The room was comfy and as described in the photos. It was clean and we felt welcome.
Friendly and in a good position, good if you're comfortable with this type of accommodation, everyone else there seemed happy enough.

Seemed to be a lot of wires in bedroom, things plugged into extension, possibly I worry too much but have a thing about electricity. Having to pay extra using a card.
Someone pinched our yoghurts from the communal fridge in the kitchen!!.

walls a bit thin - can hear coughers and snorers etc. A little more parking space would have been great but none of this impacted on the trip.
Didn't realise it was unsuitable for kids and felt like I was imposing on the other adults. It was more like a hostel and it was expensive as a hostel.

Insulation between rooms could be improved.
Minor suggestions: (i) that kitchen roll and air freshener could be provided in the kitchen area.(ii) could not find facilities for separation of re-cycled waste.
The price was a little high for location. Plus they charged an extra 3.5% for using a credit card which they didn't state when we booked. Its not a huge amount more but annoying when you book at the price you think is the price.

food for their dinners and left others short.
For price, didnt expect it to be a youth hostel.
