First time staying in Wales with the Mrs. Stayed here in Room 5 for 1
night, after reading poor reviews but having balls and going for it
anyway. The Mrs thought I'm too posh to stay in a b&b but its
alright. :) Separate shower room and toilet room, that was a surprise. I
liked the soft light down the corridor towards the door which you could
leave on, plug sockets near bed for my laptop, Fire exit inside room.
Huge Key Fob :) Manager always contactable. Didn't have any issues.

I was delighted that the owner is a Welsh-speaker; that made my life
much simpler.
The bedroom was, shall we say, cozy, but this wasn't a problem for the one night we stayed.
Overall, I'd describe it as a comfortable place to stay. The owner and his manager could hardly have been friendlier or more accommodating but they were never intrusive.
The place was clean but homely and comfortable. No nasty odours but not reeking of cleaning products either.
Friendly, cooperative owner. Near to town centre, quiet premises, good
double bed with nice firm mattress, shower good with plenty of hot
water. Tea making facilities.
Very friendly proprietor who can't do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Clean room and very friendly on the wallet too!.
Even it was an old stylish hostel, it was confortable and really charming for a couple. It also has all you need to have a nice weekend.
Comfortable basic room. Large amount of coffee/tea. Excellent TV with many channels. Very helpful owner, Mr Rees.
cheap, ideal for station and bus / coach connections and the nearby gower peninsula.
cosy, warm, nice shower, friendly owner.
Very good. No staff when arrived but simple check in procedure, staff readily available by phone when i had an enquiry Good value for money, a bed for the night in a friendly environment.
The old gent was friendly and polite, it was central bed comfy and clean.
It was close to the town centre, only a 5 min walk.
Soft double bed
Friendly reception.
cleanliness.
Bed was comfortable/tea making facilities.
A place to stay at a fair price.
It had a roof.
The room price comparatively cheaper.
If I had to be picky, more sugar please.
For anyone staying more than a night or two, the clothes storage space
is a little limited. Some people might also object to the fact that the
room hadn't been redecorated in a while and the plaster was cracked
in a few places near the ceiling. That doesn't detract from the
comfort of the room though.
My one real gripe, and my wife's too, is that we would have preferred a far firmer mattress and pillows as we rather sank into the bed, which did affect the quality of our sleep.
Room could do with a repaint.
Would be great if they modernize a little the hostel.
Nothing not to like. An excellent base for visiting Swansea. Not really a negative, the place is not uber modern but I don't think it needs to be.
No full length mirror and bad lighting for reading and applying makeup.
We had to park on the road and move car before 9am.
Need more in-room facilities.
very basic with other budget accommodation offering better value. lack of parking.
Grill over the lower large window. Unable to escape if ever a fire as unable to open high top window more than 6 inches due to becoming lodged on outer guttering. Supprised it passed fire regulations!!. Only a trickle of water from shower unable to use. Faint stale aroma in room.
Dirty and bedsit like.
There were a few things I am not impressed. For example, the shower is extremely weak and it is outside the toilet which is no privacy. Also, the facilities are poor, no hair dryer and the room appearance is not good.
Unclean, unkempt
, flea ridden bed, when mentioned re not what we expected! Barrage of words from owner stating you get what you pay for!.
