I book a few hours before check in due to last miniute interview the next day in York. The distance was great and the welcome was amazing. She was very helpful and welcoming on to her b&B. Me and my boyfriend have never stayed In a b&b before and we loved it :) if u like your vintage signs and everything girly it's amazing !! Great price great service and great breakfast :) if I ever go to York again I will be booking up again ! Couldn't be more happy :).
todos opiniões » In nice village just outside York. Very quick and easy to get in York city. Secure free parking. Very helpful knowledgable about things to do in York. Offered alot of local advice. Good selection of local restaurants recommended by owner.all in all a very pleasant comfortable experience. Thank you very much. Very welcoming and catered well for our needs. Family room was comfortable with good facilities and good parking beside our room with our own front door so no need to go through the main house. Good location for visiting York. Would stay again. 2 bedroom cottage- with living room and efficiency kitchen. Location is wonderful- interesting countryside to explore. Towels were provided. Hair dryer was provided. Heat is by space heaters- but adequate to do the job!. Great reclusive place to kick back, but a bit far out of York town. Cab costed about 11 quid, so it was not terrible!. atmosphere - friendly. The location - just a couple of miles (a 15 minute bus ride) from York city centre was brilliant. We came completely unprepared but were very kindly provided with coffee, tea & towels. The accommodation was light & airy, a good size with ample room for either 2 adults & 2 children or 4 adults. close to York. nice village, independent cottage, surprisingly close to shopping facilities. some problems with the water heating in the bathroom, guests tried all possible to help. close two york city .parking good.room two chill out. Room/cottage(?) was quiet and owner was prepared to help with details of available services in locality when asked. Ready availability of parking, plus advantage of leaving car while out exploring town. The location was good for our needs, the owners cats were beautiful. The size of the room for 5 sleeping was good with most things we needed. The heating was lovely considering how cold it was. Position between York and seaside. Easy access to York. Bus service to York. Room decent size for 2 people, but not for3 as advertised. Beds comfortable. We liked the room and the bed was very nice. The decor was good and so was the way the room was laid out. the location was good - we could get a bus into York from across the road and it took 20 minutes. Was on a quick bus route to York centre. extremely good local pub for food. the area countryside. There was nothing I hated. Pots and pans were difficult to use and wash without proper washing equipment. It was sort of difficult to regulate the temperature. Too cold or too hot. Shower was difficult to get right as well. nothing. It was very satisfactory. Bathroom very small, but shower absolutely fine once water had heated. All ok with accommodation. Beyond their control but waited for two buses in the rain but neither turned up. The 'cottage', which was more of an extension to the main building, was so cold. The heating was provided by standalone electric heaters with no heating at all in the shower room. The shower was very temperamental with intermittent hot water. sleeping room ok, but living room a bit small for a family of 4. no proper space to stay outside. hardly saw the hosts, no hints on what to do or how to get around. my wife would not use the shower.there was mould and loose tileing.the cottage had a quick lick of paint some time ago the painter must of been blindfolded. Felt as if they weren't really ready to have us, as we seemed to have a beaten track to office asking for things which should have already been in cottage(?)/room, e,g, towels, can opener, draft stopper as room was so cold due to large gaps under door and heater inadequate. We found that the decor and furniture was way past its use by, lumpy beds, shower from the dark ages, no bin! No washing up liquid. Suggested these along with sachets of tea/ coffee and was told you didn't get these in self- catering. Did not feel the studio came up to website expectations. Shower facilities need updating. Accommodation overpriced for what it is. The stairway was a spiral one and was ever so hard to use especially for women with high heels shoes. We was not allowed to use the lounge and was only able to stay in our room. The breakfast was payable on top of what we already paid for the room,we paid £6.00 each for breakfast. The breakfast was poor and the food was poor. The worst thing was the hospitality of the owner, we hardly seen her and she did not interact with us at all. The accommodation in the cottage was very basic and cold owing to the fact there was no central heating and the fire in the lounge didn't work. The owners were rude and unhelpful to the two couples staying next to us when they lost their key as they did not have a spare! So they had to stay in our cottage and sleep on the floor until a locksmith came out the following morning!. Really needed cleaning, no soaps in bathroom no coffee or spoons had to go and ask for these things more attention to details required. needs a little investment and refreshing. No facilities in the village,. no breakfast,kitchen not working,but we had booked bed& breakfast,and the heating was inadequate considering the cold weather,thought we would get a refund dur to all the above. Mould in bedroom, no heating in bathroom, oven not working, Damp beds.
