Quite a difference from the typical inner city European Hotel. They have an excellent Italian Restaurant which the locals seem to love. Even on a Sunday evening we had to wait for a table. Be sure to make a reservation the morning before. Food is excellent at a great price. Breakfast is terrific.

If you want a quick trip to Edinburgh, but rather not stay there, this hotel is perfect. It is a short train ride over water to the hotel. Owners are friendly and the place is cheap and cheerful. I paid £42, so didn't expect a posh hotel.
Radiator means you can have room as warm as you want.
Bed was really comfy and 2 big pillows although 1 had a plastic cover inside it and made a lot of noise everytime you moved

food excellent Joe and Kirsty couldn't do enough to make our stay any better was a great choice for a quiet weekend we enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra nigjht. - Easy to get to. Excellent staff. Very comfortable. Superb food. Peaceful location considering how near it was to the motorway.
