Great location in the heart of Cambridge. Comfortable rooms with individual character that you don't find in chain hotels. Above all, I was impressed by the staff - attentive to the needs of customers and I experienced three clear examples of staff members going the extra mile to help the customer get what he required .

The old building was very well presented. The new pool area was lovely and warm and the sauna and steam rooms are the hottest I have ever been in. This hotel was very comfortable (room was a little bit dated though) and we liked being able to use the swimming pool and sauna. The location is great, as it feels like your in the countryside but your only 15 minutes drive from the centre of Cambridge. We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast but the continental table didn't have much on it. - Excel

Nice little place to stay, if you don't mind the absence of an elevator, and fairly small low-ceilinged rooms. It is of course an old mill, but the rooms have been refurbished as good as it gets. Excellent meals if you go for the menu. They have "snacks" too but a better description for the latter would be "junk food leading to morbid obesity" - w

I grew up in Melbourn and missed this little jewel!
The setting is idyllic. The view over the mill pond is gorgeous by day, but by night is stunning! The trees are lit with coloured lights and the reflection in the still mill pond is incredible - I've never seen anything like it!
The staff are all really friendly, chatty and helpful.
The food is delicious!
The bed was very comfortable!

We had a power cut in our room (227) at 1.20 in the morning but the night staff were on the case and gave us lights again within 5 minutes, also I forgot to bring the toothbrushes and paste these, along with the firm pillows I asked for, were in the room by the time returned after our night out - Convenience to city centre and excellent breakfast

The room I ended up with is fabulous - big, lots of storage, huge flatscreen tv, and a terrace outside just for the couple of rooms which open onto it. This is in the new wing which has been refurbished to a very high standard. The owners are fantastic and can't do enough to make your stay as comfortable as they can.
