Very, very large room and bathroom. Very quiet, nice warm comfy room. Good location. Far far better than staying in any budget hotel, Travel lodge, Pre Inn e.c.t. i was happy with my stay and cannot complain , regarding the price it has to be said this is value for money , i continue to support mjb hotels. The room had been recently decorated, it was clean, bed was comfortable, free parking and five to ten minute walk to the centre of town.

Provision of Microwave oven, Toaster, Plates, Bowls, Mugs and Cutlery. Easy code access! Clean room close to town. Washing machine worked well. Relatively deserves the price. Low price, good location in 10 minutes walking distance to center, coffee and tea set in the room. It was really cheap, and in the perfect location! For one night, it was just what we needed. Pretty simple and straightforward. Close to the city centre. Great location right in the town centre. Shower was better than expected. Clean. Room with bunk Beds is just not acceptable. Dirty sheets and room. Good central location. Absolutely nothing. Nothing. location. Nothing. A laugh. There were some things that could be improved unpon. Attention to detail with general maintenance. I was sent wrong door code, but one quick phone call sorted that. Mattress in my room was past it sell by date. But I highly recommend this Hotel for the price. The outside of the building is a bit shabby. But that would not put me off. only one toilet roll , i think there should be at least two , as there is no one to ask of it gets finished. Noisy other guests. A door that didnt open so the room got abit hot. Room was tired in appearance Bathroom was cold as heater did not work Shower heat control intermittent Toilet stained. No heating in bathroom very cold. Small room. Some of the facilities were broken (e.g. lights, the bed, etc). Check in at 16:00 and Check out at 10:00. No reception at any of the hotels (these are actually not hotels). Upon arrival no one available to check in. Rang up a the telephone number on the sign and they have no recollection of my booking???? After 20 minutes of hanging about a guy asks us to go over to the head office, about half a mile away when I had to log on to my internet banking and show him proof of my payment to mjb Hotels!!! Thank god for technology else we would have been stuffed. Really disappointing service. We didn't stay at The Lodge. This is the second time we have booked one MJB apartment and then it's been changed. My comments relate to 95D Upper St Giles Street where we stayed. There was a bad smell in the kitchen/hall area. The television had no sound. Although the sanitary ware was quite clean the rest of the apartment was filthy especially the walls and windows. Absolutely filthy. Bottle caps under bed, joints in corner of room, hair everywhere an dust everywhere. Room 22 we had to sleep on 2 quilt covers as the metal springs were sticking out through the mattress. The shower hose was leaking so the flow through the head was minimal. The code given on the paperwork did not work also had to phone whilst standing outside to get room numbers and codes as was not on print out. The room was dirty. Lots of young people what went out and were noisy . 'Hotel' is a loose use of the term to describe this 'accommodation'. Our room code didn't work when we arrived: the woman I spoke to about it on the phone was rude and abrupt! Room was very very basic! Bed was very squeaky, very thin pillows and quilt (which was stained). Towels were also stained! No curtains on the windows, they were merely blanked out, no way to look out of, or open the window- drafty!. Having to leave in the middle of the night and book into another Hotel, due to the student parties going on all night. No staff anywhere to talk to. Only had a code to use to get in and out hence the kids coming and going as they pleased. Apparently well known to the Police!!!. Everything. self-services, no reception, no windows while it was the hottest day in the UK, no room services. The rooms we booked were not in the hotel in the picture,thank goodness. The whole building outside dirty and the rooms disgusting Bed disgusting, towel provided disgusting. We left and went to a Hotel. No staff,carpets absolutely filthy and stained,curtains hanging off rails,bare wires,stained walls,bath room door punched in and on leaving main door glass broken,sharp glass,such a shame lodge has potential. No reception No security Childrens Beds when booked as 2 adults Screw used as door handle Dirty shower Room not even hoovered Unhelpful and rude staff on the phone. Location Parking (car got hit) No staff on site. No staff Overpriced It was a glorified youth hostel, not a hotel.
