The staff especially the nightshfit manager were brilliant, our room door wouldn't lock and 10 minutes after our call to reception they had someone come to fix it. Great views from the penthouse balcony. Loads of space. We liked the comfort and ease of the place and the welcoming, friendly receptionist who was willing to recommend restaurants, locate addresses and order taxis. This is a big help when you are a stranger to the city.

The apartments were really nice and all of our rooms had views of the river. The staff were great and very easy going.The view and the fact that it was self-catered with everything that we needed. Also the decor was nice and modern. everything was perfect! we will definately stay again. the reviews on here just don't give it enough justice!. Staff were very helpful and friendly, location, the spacious rooms,decor and view and Amenities. Close to city centre - secure parking - well presented - well equipped - home away from home.Everything the apartments were in a great location, rooms were lovely and staff very friendly. The amount of room and the facilities you get with an apartment are incredible for the price paid.The location, was quite far from the city centre if you had to walk, but only about £4 in a taxi, so not really a gripe. having to leave at the end of our visit! wish we could have stayed longer!. 24 hour reception required (booked out 8am but nobody on reception). no smoking in any room. Only thing I can think of was that the hot water doesnt last very long, probably get half a bath of hot water, but I just boiled some pans and threw that in too, lol. Bath needed fixing and it was too small. Seating and table for thebalcony would have been a nice touch; great facilities however. Building works nearby. No, but a cafetiere would be a good inclusion.Lack of coffee pot and deficient cooking equipent and traffic noise by day. I was sleeping on the road side of the apartment and could hear the traffic when trying to sleep. There wasn't that much traffic so it wasn't a major deal.It was next to a busy road, however my sleeping accommodation was away from the noise. further out than expected, but buses every 10min , would be nice walk if good weather. What was not to like? The beautiful view of the Quayside was hell :-) Re previous reviews - it is easy to adjust the heaters. not really. we booked a double bed room and got a twin bed roon instead!!. minor points, light switches damaged by builders and some light bulbs didn't work, none safety issues. .only one small query.why no locks on inside of bathroom doors??could be quite embarassing!!. could be better signage to find City Appartments. Location bit too far out if walking from City centre. There had been an overbooking of the penthouse apartment which I was disappointed about but the hotel were very fair and refunded an amount that I was happy about. The apartment we did stay in was more than adequate.mayby the bed ( was 2 singles together. Noise both nights from people leaving adjacent pub.Road noise. location. Minor equipment defects. Door keys were unreliable. Hard to find the hotel. No desk lamp to allow occupant to work comfortably. Road noise.
