Big and clean room. Complimentaru fair trade coffee, tea,chicolate. In the clean big bathroom there were even body lotions! Breakfast rich and plentiful. A real bargain for this price. I will go again!

The Ivy Mount guest house was booked at the last minute, as I normally stay in the larger well known city centre hotels. However the experience of staying at the “Ivy Mount” has totally change my future accommodation requirements. 6 of us stayed at the lodge for the Magic weekend at Etihad stadium. We all feel that the valve for money here was excellent. The staff were some of the very best and polite staff we had come across for a while. They really were helpful. The men of which they were 4 were made up with the quality of food that was served up at the buffet breakfast. Very nicely cooked well stocked all you can eat and drink breakfast included in the price. We will definitely recommend an stay here again.

The hotel is a half an hour (very slow journey) bus ride from the city centre but I did get to see another part of Manchester, which I wouldn't have otherwise done. The very quick train from the city centre to Guide Bridge is 6 minutes and the hotel is 15 mins' walk from the station. Not having to dash about (as I do most days), I rather liked the chance to stretch my legs so the initial off-the-beaten track impression was in the end favourable. We had a Grand Studio on the 4th floor and there was no noise from
outside or other rooms. We stayed on a Saturday so we did expect some
noise. The room we had was lovely with a Super King size bed. The room
was quite large and also contained a fridge freezer, a dishwasher,
cutlery & plates, iron, hair dryer, free wi fi, flat screen tv with
Internet access. Also, you had to be out of the room x 11am but for an
