This charming Victorian house has picturesque gardens and plenty of free parking on site on the edge of Exmoor National Park. Surrounded by green fields and beautiful countryside, it is just 15 minutes’ walk from the sandy beaches of the Bristol Channel. Rooms at Longmead House are cosy and traditionally furnished, some boasting original features like old wooden beams and panelling. Each benefits from a flat-screen TV, an en suite bathroom with free toiletries, and tea and coffee making facilities. In the dining room, guests can enjoy a choice of options for breakfast, including full English, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, and a variety of egg dishes. Fruit juices, fresh fruit, and yoghurt are also served. Longmead House is ideally placed for access to the Valley of Rocks, the South West Coast Path and Lynmouth via the Cliff Railway. There are fabulous walks around Lynton and Lynmouth, Watersmeet and Exmoor direct from the front door, and Lynton’s cafes, pubs, shops and restaurants are just a few minutes’ walk away.

I had a wonderful week here. Caroline and Alan made me feel at home, and although travelling on my own I felt I was not lonely. The lovely surroundings with Dunster, Minehead or the Dunkery Beacon kept me busy and the beauty of nature in this area provides a welcome break to the stresses of everyday life. Altogether I had a very relaxing and uplifting holiday. The location was perfect with everything on our doorstep, we parked the car in their car park(added bonus) and did not need to drive again till we left. Caroline and Alan great hosts with a very welcome tray of tea when we arrived and great breakfast. Longmead is a beautiful house that is full of warmth and character. Would definately stay there again.
todos opiniões » We found the owners very friendly and welcoming, keen to make our stay very enjoyable and able to advise on places to visit and helped us to enjoy our stay - the room was lovely,just as we expected by the photo, and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was delicious, and there was a big selection - we would definatley book to stay there again. The staff were kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. the breakfasts were excellent and were cooked to perfection. Cleanliness was to a very high standard. The room was clean with plenty of storage space and ample soap and gels in the bathroom, and towels soft and fluffy, being changed every three days. We appreciated the warm welcome and delicious afternoon tea with which Caroline and Alan greeted us. The house is cosy and friendly, the rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable and Alan's breakfasts are delicious. On-site parking was a bonus as was the proximity to walks and the town. Everything. Wonderful helpful friendly hosts. Excellent accommodation with superb breakfast including home made bread and jam. Spotlessly clean and so cosy and welcoming. Close to walks over the cliffs and down to the beautiful harbour of Lynmouth. After a bleak trip across the Moors we were met by Caroline who had lit a cosy fire in the guest lounge and were shown to our spotless, comfortable room. Alan's breakfast is second to none! It was a shame that we were only there two nights!!. It was my first ever Bed and Breakfast stay and both Alan and Caroline are very friendly making it a memorable and enjoyable stay. The cleanliness of the rooms and was superb so was the delicious breakfast which is dished out every morning. Warm welcome with tea and homemade cake on the lawn. Crisp white bedding of good quality. Individually cooked breakfast which arrived hot and fresh to the table. Lovely owners who although very busy made time for guests. The whole experience, comfortable beds, really clean,superb breakfasts, friendly helpful owners. even though room was small it had everything you could want and location really good with added bonus of on site parking. We felt very welcome at Longmead. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, from quality ingredients and with homemade bread! It's in 5mins easy walking of many restaurants. Tony & Caroline couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is very comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this guest house. We'll certainly be returning. Very friendly owners, who made you feel welcome. Everything was spotlessly clean, and a log fire in the lounge was perfect on a very cold weekend. A good stout English Breakfast set us up for the day. The bathroom would be a little small for residents over six foot, with no shower. Nothing!. Nothing to dislike. There is nothing to dislike!. Just one criticism on second morning whilst showering, shower ran out of water and did not work until evening (possible excess demand). Nothing. Nothing. one minor thing - douvet was too high a tog for the summer. Nothing. Top floor room too small for a double; steep stairs.
