Hospitality was exceptional and the owners (Jim & Hazel) were extremely friendly & helpful. Our room was beautifully furnished and very spacious. The décor throughout the hotel was of high standard and warm & welcoming with a couple of lovely lounges to relax in too. Breakfast was an absolute feast and the standard of food/cooking was very high. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way - and we are quite fussy! We will definitely return and tell all our friends/family about. todos opiniões »
Staff friendly, genuine and go above and beyond to make your stay
memorable. Experienced b&b, a very polished operation. Knowledgeable
and helpfulness of Jim and Hazel. They were genuine and very helpful.
Amazing Scottish cooked breakfast! House is impeccably kept and clean.
Quietness, serenity and privacy were enjoyable. Walking along the
heritage trail. Linlithgow town great restaurants and pubs to explore.
The host, Jim, was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was fantastic - if we'd eaten all that was there we wouldn't have needed to eat for the rest of the day! Breakfast room was very comfortable and attractive, hosts couldn't be more accommodating. Beautiful house in a great location. Shame we had to leave to continue with the rest of our holiday!.
We were very happy at the Cauldburn House. We had stayed several places before coming to the Cauldburn House. All were very nice. this place was certainly the best. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was very user friendly. We had wonderful continental breakfasts there both mornings for a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend the place.
Everything from the friendly conversation with the owner on confirming the extra bed on booking, to the friendly welcome on arriving to the luxurious rooms, and the best cooked breakfast I have ever eaten. Also the owner took time to tell us of some interesting history of the surrounding area, even though he was busy serving other guests.
Just back from a 2 night stay at Cauldburn House. Situated in the countryside but just minutes from Linlithgow, The triple room was large, very comfortable and spotless. Full breakfast was excellent and the continental option was superb too. Jim the owner was the perfect host, I would highly recommend this B & B to anyone.
Very well run, extremely clean & friendly. Jim couldn't be more helpfull or accommodating. Will definitely use again if I'm in the area..... The continental breakfast was great, but the Australian guy on the adjacent table had the full Scottish breakfast which looked even better, something which I will try on my next visit.
A warm welcome. excellent facilities with great attention to detail.Jim was very helpful and answered our questions on restaurants, transport, and general attractions in the area. The full cooked breakfast was excellent. We are going again and in the future will certainly use it as a base for touring that part of Scotland.
The house was modern, designed and fitted to a very high standard. Great location. Guest facilities were excellent, and the hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We can recommend the breakfast which was very high quality and great value -
Looking forward to staying at Cauldburn house again.
The family running the house are fantastic and provide a warm and welcome stay with an outstanding breakfast and location. Minutes walk to a beautiful county park and canal that leads over an aqueduct and right into the town. Prefect spot or a hide away or a business trip.
The peace and beauty of the house. The comfort of the room. The amazing surroundings. Our host and his two dogs were a differential ;-)
Basically, we've loved our stay at Cauldburn House and will definitely stay there again if we return to the Edinburgh area!.
My sister & I stayed at could burn though it was for 1 night only. A very lovely welcome from the owner lovely hotel & location lovely breakfast comfortable rooms a lovely bright house it wants you to to stay longer excellent would stay again.
Everything. Our host was very friendly, helpful and informative. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast delicious and the location was central, without being crowded. A very enjoyable stay. ( and the puppies were a great welcome too!).
Fantastic welcome and service from Jim, Hazel and the staff. Excellent value, and a hearty breakfast which set us up for the day. Comfortable and clean, a true Scots welcome. Excellently located for fantastic rail links to Edinburgh.
We love the countryside setting and the B & B is beautiful. It is a short drive into town so it's the best of both worlds. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I especially liked the variety of fresh fruit at breakfast.
The accommodation was spotless and relaxed. The breakfast facilities were first class. Our group had to alter our booking and had particular requirements. The owner Jim dealt with these promptly and was very helpful.
Staff was very dedicated and helpfull. Rooms absolutely tidy and very spacious. Breakfast served was excellent. No complaints at all. Nice location and quite a good distance either to Edinbrugh as well as to Glasgow.
Home from home. The owners are very welcoming and friendly.
The house is in a quiet location, however its road and rail links are excellent for those who wish to tour around the countryside and cities.
Very friendly, accommodating, and comfortable. Very surprised at the number of interesting places to visit in the local neighborhood. I chose it because it was close to an event we wished to attend.
Staff was very friendly. We loved this B&B. It was a beautiful house with the BEST breakfast! Homemade pastries. Yum! We were very happy with our stay here and would definitley stay again.
Our host were so nice and warm-welcoming! They were great advisors, how we would get easily to Edinburgh by car, and where we could park our car without payment. The breakfast was very deliciouse.
The friendliness of the owners who wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The food was excellent with a wide choice for both the continental and Scottish breakfast.
everything....the breakfast spread was enormous and superb....lovely and quiet....no traffic noise.....especially liked being welcomed as 'Mike' and not as Mister D-----.
The hosts were very friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in people. This was a great location from which to explore Scotland in a very limited time. A lovely room.
An ideal place for ease of access to major cities, airport and restaurants. A great place to relax. Hosts very friendly and helpful - A+++ rating from us.
We liked everything and even happier to hear that Jim and his family are investing in a larger guest house with more rooms. They will be very successful.
Very clean and comfortable. Quiet location . Excellent breakfast. Friendly hosts. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.
Staff were very friendly and helpfull. We had the continental breakfast and it was excellent. Would certainly recommend this accommodation.
Comfortable beds, quality toiletries. Breakfasts offered had an excellent choice of foods. Hosts were very knowledgeable of the area.

I stay in hotels 2 - 3 times a week and this one is awesome! Such a refreshing change absolutely loved it.
Loved the palace, peel and loch. Also had great meal in the old post office. People really friendly.

Quiet, clean, very friendly, wonderful countryside.
Can't fault, best b&b stay so fat on our honeymoon!.
There wasn't anything we didn't like about the Cauldburn House.
Nothing, everything was fab.
Nothing. This place is one of the nicest places I have stated In a long time and I pretty much live in hotels!.
Nothing.
Nothing.
There was nothing to dislike.
We were not aware that breakfast was not included in price, nevertheless they were worth the extra.
Unfortunately We were told that this premises are sold and that there is no statement available wheter the new owner will continue with B&B offers. Recent owners will open up new accomodation facilites directlay in Linlithgow.
None.
Nothing.
Finding out that letsbookhotel.com take 15% of the fee.
having to leave.......and seeing a for sale sign at end of drive.....
Unlucky with the weather.
Didn't read the fine print and didn't realize breakfast was not included in cost. Bathroom was very small and using the toilet was uncomfortable as it was wedged into a very small corner. Ground floor rooms may be kept awake by squeaky floorboards.
Very creaky floorboards and when asked by hostess what time we wanted breakfast she replied by saying that 8.30 was too busy so could we come at 8.00. Should have enough tables for each room so can have preferred time.
Nothing. There wasnt a thing we could dislike.
Not so handy to town but worth the short drive into the countryside.
Nothing.
Everything was to satisfaction.
Badly positioned loo and tiny shower cubicle in ensuite, though
spotlessly clean.
Blandness of common areas - mostly sitting room. Hot water not always available. Electric outlets sparse.
Nothing, everything was good.
Nothing.
Nothing, slightly later breakfast would have been welcome but certainly not a criticism.
Nothing.
Telly was a bit small for my ageing eyes but no big deal.
