  This B&B is awesome. From the start, Davy was welcoming and accommodating. I arrived in Edinburgh early and went to the B&B to drop my bags off. I arrived after breakfast was served but Davy kindly made me an omelet, toast, and tea. Then he showed me the room that was intended to be mine, talking me through the amenities. The bed was clean and super comfortable, - I liked everything from the beginning as I was met at the door with a handshake and a nice hello. Mr. Lapping is a fine cook so there's no need to go anywhere for breakfast. He answered my thousand questions about the area with patience and great knowledge. The guest house is located in a somewhat quieter part of Edinburgh that I think is a perfect location.   We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. All rooms were very spacious (we had the 1st floor suite) and the location was only about 5 minutes walk from Haymarket and Princes Street. This was our first stay in a serviced appartment and we would highly recommend a stay here, beats ... o que as pessoas dizem » a stuffy hotel any day of the week! - The location was fairly close to the center of the city (20 minute walk). The neighborhood was quiet and clean. Flat screen tv with multiple satellite channels. Kitchen well stocked daily with breakfast/snack items. Reception/housekeeping more than helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone and return to this hotel without a doubt.
