For the price it was a great deal compared to the hotel room rates for the area.   Self check in was an excellent idea, and could not have been easier, asimple idea but a refreshing change from the usual limitations andrestrictions applied at other BandBs. Breakfast was great, lovely fry up andhuge choice of cereal,fruit and yoghurts! Rooms were very clean andtastefully decorated to high standard and location was excellent. The lounge was large and comfortable and the kitchen was available for guests to use (crockery for each room provided in separate locked cupboards). This is something I have not seen before. Also, it is not far from town - few minutes by car but it would be possible to walk it.

Hotel is in a great location and as the building was a former period university building all the rooms will all have slight variation in layout and views! For the tall.... The location is perfect, it's right beside the river, very close to the main shopping area and the beautiful buildings of the University. The staff are very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel.   The owner, Chris, was extremely nice, friendly and helpful with whatever I needed, e.g. fixing immediately a window a bit hard to close, doing whatever he could to prepare an espresso (he did not have any in the house that morning so he went to get some from his own house). It only takes few minutes to the river and the center of the town. We hope to exprience the other rooms next time. My six years old daughter likes the hotel best during the 12 days' travel in UK.
