LCD minute countdown at bus stop accuratly tells you how long to wait for each bus. Very clean with friendly staff. A good range of traditional English and continental selections at breakfast. The lounge was large and comfortable and the kitchen was available for guests to use (crockery for each room provided in separate locked cupboards). This is something I have not seen before. The room I ended up with is fabulous - big, lots of storage, huge flatscreen tv, and a terrace outside just for the couple of rooms which open onto it. This is in the new wing which has been refurbished to a very high standard. The owners are fantastic and can't do enough to make your stay as comfortable as they can.

The Landlady was very friendly and nothing was any trouble. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean, I have stayed in many hotels in my life and appreciate cleanliness. The accommodation was within easy access to the city centre with a good bus service.

The place was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and in the perfect
location. John who checked us in was very helpful and gave us some
lovely recommendations on places to eat and things to do in the area. He
even brought over a hairdryer for me when I realised I had forgotten
mine at home. Overall the place was just perfect for us and I wish we
could've stayed longer! Will definitely be back!

A comfortable hotel in great location ten minutes walk into centre of town but still quiet enough in the evenings.Attached bistro and wine bar underground was excellent and very easy when staying. Great selection of wines. Staff especially attentive and helpful -we recommend this one.

A parte antiga e a tradição dentro do possível. A recuperação e acréscimo ndos anos 60 é monstruosa!! - É um hotel muito bonito situado num edifício histórico, muito bem localizado. Tem salões lindissimos e o pequeno almoço é bastante razoavel. É pena que esteja em elevado estado de degradação.
