And we loved: the two-storey twin bedroom with seaview on two sides (chose room no. 302!), the more than friendly staff creating a real bed and breakfast atmosphere, the beach in front of us and also the kind of old-fashioned furnishing.   Friendly clean with helpful staff what else do you need, I booked the single room but on my arrival i was informed They had now upgraded me to the twin room. Room was light airy and really clean which for me is the main thing above all else. I would definatly stay here again - Everything.   We received a very warm welcome and found Fern Lodge to have all the facilities we required. The location is ideal as a base for exploring the local area and the helpful advice from the proprietor led to some of the best fish and chips we have ever tasted. Service throughout our stay was accommodating, I would particularly highlight how welcome and comfortable we felt as a lesbian couple.   This hotel was clean, modern and excellent value for money. The staffwere very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thefacilites in the wheelchair accessible room we booked were the best Ihave seen in any accommodation in the uk, with automatic doors intothe room, a wet room with a seat in the shower, wide doors and loweredhand basin... o que as pessoas dizem » s. - By far the best budget hotels we have used - fantastic value for money and just minutes away from the Channel tunnel. We were travelling to France early the next morning before the start of breakfast so we were given a takeaway breakfast for the journey! Holiday Inn will definitely be our preferred hotel choice for our next visit!
