Excellent location. Very close to the town centre and the beach. We went for the Hastings Bonfire Festival and it was literally a couple of hundred meters down the road from the bonfire site and the fireworks. Room (number 2) was clean and fairly large with an excellent small balcony facing the sea. We didn't have any need to contact reception however so we have no idea what that service would have been like. Shame the hotel didn't do breakfast but the excellent Bullet Cafe is around the co.
todos opiniões » The staff are always happy to help,, the room i stayed in was clean and very comfortable, en suite was superb, my room faced the seafront and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there, very quiet hotel in that i was never disturbed by noise from other guests, have to say i enjoyed one of the best nights sleep i have in over 10 years as a sufferer of insomnia. and have to say my only regret was i wasnt staying longer, i intend visiting Hastings again and i will make sure i reserve my room at t. I was pleasantly surprised by entertainment at the hotel which was most unexpected as was the Olympic size swimming pool(the top board was a little high for me) I really liked the comedian John Richardson and the guest chef on the night we visited was Gary Rhodes who's dishes were superb,the headlining band were the Foals again excellent,5 Stars is not enough of a rating I would have paid twice the price, I might even leave a tip next time. Location is perfect, with views looking out to sea. Although this guest house is accomodation only, the attention to detail was very good with high standard toiletries in the room, Frewview TV and Tea making facilities. I rang on route to see if I could check in early as the website stipulated 4pm and the staff ensured that my room was ready before my arrival. It was a very nice stay. The location is great, the room not too small, the bathroom clean. It suited us the it had a bath and not a shower as our daughter could play in it exactly like at home. Overall it has everything you need for a short stay in this lovely seaside town. We would definitely stay there again. The staff were very friendly and happy to help, they advised us on where to eat and where to park (which was a great help as there are very few seafront hotels which have their own parking). The building itself it lovely and in an ideal location. I would recommend it to any weekend trippers to Hastings. I liked the relaxed environment and comfort of the Lindum. The hotel had lovely views of the seafront and is situated in a good location close to local amenities. Staff were friendly and available. Rooms were cleaned daily, clean towels provided and most importantly there was a hair dryer!. Fantastic location. Short walk from train station and a good distance walk from the old town. Comfortable and Clean room Great View from my room There was no breakfast available but we could take short walk to cafe near by. Close to reaturant, bars and supermarket. Good Value for money. My room was inexpensive, so the truth is I was expecting something of a dump. Instead it was pretty classy, however tiny. (I came within a foot-and-a-half of being able to touch both side walls when my arms were outstretched, and my arms are short.) Very nicely decorated. Super clean. I liked the convenience of how close it was to the seafront/beach/town centre. How friendly and helpful the guy on the desk was. I was going to arrive much later than 20.00 hrs due to the coach times but this was not a problem, he waited for me to arrive. The Lindum was excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and welcoming and overall the hotel exceeded all my expectations. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Hastings. Although I had only booked a single I was given a twin with seaview. I had a bad fall just before checking in and would like to thank the receptionist for all his help and the first aid kit!. The staff were fantastic esp. Philip he went out of his way to make our short stay great would stay again, location was fantastic right on the sea front. Good price for a great hotel. We had a fantastic sea view from the balcony which made our Bonfire Night weekend spectacular. A good size bath with hot water and a comfortable bed. We will definitely be back. Right by beach, perfect for short stroll to Hastings old town, as we stayed for hasting half marathon we were kindly allowed a late check out which was great!. Our stay at the Lindum was perfect nice comfortable room and was very peaceful and quiet ideal for our stay there. We were on the top floor which was a bit of a hike. There were only two things I didn't like (which are only minor an easy to tollerate). For £75 per night I expected an actual double bed but it was two singles pushed together. And also the wifi didn't reach up to our room so I think they would benefit from signal boosters (I own one purchased from Groupon for £20). There is Big Boiler in my room. It makes vibration noise as I have sensitive hearing, but I used to it at the end. Unlike my husband, he couldn't hear anything. The only channels I could get on the television were stupid. None of the expected good channels. The bathroom was modern and clean, but almost too small to turn around in. Not a big deal, I guess. There was not anything to not like. I really enjoyed my stay. Only I would like to say no lift but there is a lovely room on the ground floor overlooking the sea. The stairs are a little narrow for carrying luggage but staff very helpful with carrying. Parking is on the street and you have to be lucky to find a space. Not the Lindum's fault but be prepared for some "nightlife" noise on a Friday or Saturday night. Wasn’t too bad, just noticeable. the scaffolding outside our window spoiling the view,would have been nice if this was written on the details when booking. Lots of steps. Nowhere to eat The stairs! I was on the 2nd floor so it wasn't horrendous though. the bath had a shower attachment but no shower screen or curtain. Suggestion for improvement: write a booklet about the history of Hastings, something simple but complete, start with the Saxons and go on to Magna Carta or anywhere there... Not academic, but illustrated a bit. You could sell it to other hotels too... The couple next door had a dog with them watching tv at 1am very loudly and I couldnt sleep properly. the shower was not very good. The list of events happening in Hastings was for 2012 not 2013. The room was quite cold in the middle of the night. There were no spare blankets in the room and it was too late to go down to ask for more blankets. N/a. could have been cleaner. bathroom was clean but the room was not. there were bed linen, a plastic bag and a tennis ball under the bed and some black hairs on the bed itself - and black is not my hair colour... Also, there was a bathtub without a shower curtain so when showering in the bathtub I flooded the bathroom. If you have a car it is virtually impossible to park near the guest house and rooms could hardly fit 2 suitcases.Host disappeared after check in so could not ask questions. They did not offer breakfast. very basic as no kitchen facilities, but this is clearly stated when booking. It was all good. that i had a dog barking in the next room. Seagull stole our pint of milk from the balcony!. only a bath in our room, no shower. Economy bedding/pillows and sheets. steep climb to room Having to unplug the kettle each time to fill up with water as not able to detach it from lead ,. poor internet connection. If you get a room at the top you have to be fit as there is no lift.
